6. Learning Lessons with Pete Burak

Description

  1. What role should scripture play when we are speaking to Catholic audiences?

  2. How do you develop a talk that matches well with your experience and knowledge and also meets the precise expectations of the group that hired you?

  3. What value really is there to listen back or re-watch talks you’ve already given?

  4. And finally, when are people ‘most eloquent’? Stick around to the end -  I think the answer might surprise you.

Well today we are going to tackle each of these questions and more as I sit down with Pete Burak; a leader in the Church, particularly, in reaching and forming young adult disciples.

Pete Burak is the Vice-President of Renewal Ministries and the director of their young adult outreach called id. He is a 2010 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, and has a Master’s Degree in Theology from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan.

Pete is also a frequent speaker, writer, tv show host, and podcaster on discipleship and evangelization, as well as a member of the USCCB Young Adult Advisory Committee. He and his wife Cait have 5 beautiful children.
